NO! A percentage of zero is zero, when or if they bury the idea. Some music companies have bought songs to keep other music companies from using the song, and they own more than they can properly bring out themselves in a hundred years. The way to be paid the most money is to get a large amount up front, so that it is to their advantage to bring it out; and a reasonable royalty percentage is in addition, but the large amount counts as royalties IF they bring the item out, so they can’t lose by bringing the song out for real. In this case, I’d say he’d better look for a real “angel”, for someone who hands him a large enough amount of cool cash so that he will bring it out to the public for free. The term Creative Commons is neat. A whole comic comic strip could be about a wealthy person or family who find inventors and musicians and pay them to put the good stuff out for free but with a Creative Commons restriction. Creative Commons is what you can do after the invention is registered, and there are so many peculiar and particular differences in the ways that different inventors want the public use restricted, that a comic strip could be very entertaining, very humorous.

Or he can start his own company, keeping a large controlling interest, and giving out shares to the angel and those who are good at running the business, the MADE IN THE USA factories. |:-D
