Gertie’s nose is back to where it used to be. Maybe it changes only when she blows her stack? Like Pinocchio (only different).
Looks as if she’s heading for the catwalk.
I’ve read that Scancarelli used to work on The Johnny Cash Show, as art director. That might be his backstage experience– though I imagine he’s been *on* the stage a bit as a fiddler.

Love the rope for a panel edge. Gives the strip some depth.

Thanks, you’re right. I went back and took a second look. I also like the 3D effect the railing gives. Some wonderful extra effort and attention to detail. This is the kind of comic you could appreciate even if it was in a foreign language.

Well now that you’re in there, how are you going to find where you’re going without getting lost?

Shades of Bachelor Father’s infamous Ronnie Mann episode! She’ll be fine.

She dropped the kitty when she went in.
Presumably, Walt isn’t backstage. If he is in the lobby or other public space, how will she find him without being seen and tossed out again?

I think she’ll open a hatch and unexpectedly pop up in the middle of the show, like a jack-in-the-box…

She could have avoided all this if she had been nicer to Byrd before!

She will remove her wig and let her natural locks flow, that way she won’t be recognized

That might be the most “on the nose”…
