Mr. Walt is 110 years old. He could fall over and die from a sparrow farting three blocks away. No big deal. Gerdo, on the other hand, would be out of a job and her last reason for being in the strip would be gone. If it takes the old guy having to croak, it’s a shame but ok. I can deal with it.
I have enjoyed Walt and his long, prosperous life. However, I am really disappointed that the last arc did not give us closure. I don’t want to see him die miserably in a hospital, but there is that “old comics home” that evidently is right here in downtown Gasoline Alley.
Maybe Walt could get up and walk there, and when the kids come to get him, tell them to leave him alone. Then, every so often, we could go back and visit him along with Smokey Stover, Felix the Cat, and the Yellow Kid.
He deserves to go out with dignity. Seriously, the Gerentology Research Group lists only two men ON EARTH who are older than Walt. BTW the oldest man on earth is also named Walter – Walter Breunig.
With only one living American WWI vet, and only three on earth, this is starting to get uncomfortable. Let’s let him go and develop a new story line.

What is the remeady in case the one is Mr.walt. Who is going to answer his life. Is it medicine company, or Dr or the medicine allowed government

Oh c’mon…just give Walt the medicine.

Gertie should test it herself, like a food-taster, in case the doctor has it in for Walt..

If I don’t eat I get sick. Therefor food is deductible on your 1040 as medical. Unfortunately there is a side effect to this medicine.

The only person to blame for Gertie’s supposed bad behavior and thinking is Jim Scancarelli.

The last time I encountered a bad side effect of a medication, somebody died. It does happen.

Evan Devon is occasionally right like this time.
Joe-Allen is right on target about Gertie’s qualifications.
If Walt were to stay at home he really needs both a CNA & a maid (housekeeper).

Gertie is right that statistics don’t matter to the one who is affected.

I agree with MaxStarmanJones. It really is time Walt to make a dignified exit.

It just amazes me, the cases of pot calling the kettle black that fly back and forth in these comments. Never a dull moment.
