What kills me hsawlrae is she’s slick enough to bamboozle other crooks in card games, eludes the police AND mafia hit men, and then she comes out with something goofy like that.
I feel compelled to point out that Lil is the mother of a man in his early 60s. Unless there’s some kind of Gillian-and-Jimmy-on-Boardwalk-Empire thing going on there, she’s roughly the same age as Skeezix and Nina. Is the 85-to-90-year-old woman really the one you want swinging the blunt object at the bad guy?
I think that the time space continuum has slowed in G.A.. It used to be the same as in the reader’s world but the ages (as acted and as drawn) seem to be progressing much more slowly.
