Sort of reminds me of a storyline from the Great Gildersleeve (or was it Life of Riley?) about the gifts and favors offered and taken.

Slim, that is the same size box your new car will come in.

Slim had better be making a list and checking it twice. He must owe the whole community by now.

I’m still a bit surprised that Clovia fell for the scam.

What a revolting event this will end.

“El Ropo” cigars? Isn’t that a tribute tp Lil’ Abner. There was a bill board on the late Frank Ellisons famous Delta Lines model railroad the featured Lil’ Abner holding an El Ropo cigar.

I can not wait until he opens the box.
