On the other comic site it is red & Broom Hilda is always in color. I see the color difference quite frequently between the two comic sites. Does that mean that each site does their own coloring? Seems like a duplication waste of effort if true.
The original Fosdick would get a hole blown through his chest that you could see through, and he’d say “Don’t worry, Chief, it’s merely a flesh wound.”
This whole story line is over my head but I’ll keep coming back anyway. well not over my head, but I don’t know anyone except uncle walt but he’s not saying anything.
Except for the presence of Walt and Fosdick, this is pretty much what a typical “Smokey Stover” strip was like. “Scram Gravy ain’t wavy”, “Notary Sojac”, and “1506 Nix Nix”, along with ridiculous artwork with punning labels plastered over any available wall, Smokey’s stocking cap with a fireman’s brim (with a hinge in it), and Spooky, the cat with a bandaged tail. Not to mention the two-wheeled Foomobile.

Notice the attention being paid to the very tip of Smokey’s hat in panel two. Just what did that brooch look like?

There was never anything else like it.
