Joel, to quote Bill Clinton, “I feel your pain.”I sincerely can understand and commiserate with you about feeling “nekked” without your pipe, for I too have felt that way when I have been required to refrain from said for an extended period. For us pipe smokers, it does in many ways become an extension of ourselves. It helps me keep quiet and not talking when I should be listening. The stem serves as an excellent pointer in all manner of situations, and the list goes on and on. The injustice that you are going through is a rough one. But, keep a level head, and keep thinking. You will be the one to figure out a way out of this mess. My wife mentioned to me again yesterday that with Magnus being Rufus’ twin, I very well could be Joel’s lost identical twin brother…. she says our appearance and mannerisms are pretty much the same. Hah! I will take that as a sincere complement, for Joel is indeed a rather dapper looking fellow IMO! :)
