The prison guards don’t beat Mangus up like Mother does? Has Magnus MET the knuckle-cracking warden?!? I have a feeling that Magnus will be in for a world of hurt after this escapade!

Now the warden will want to charge the other two for room and board since they weren’t convicts.

Mom… please hurry and get Magnus back so this horrific social injustice against Joel may be righted. Our hero/scholar/philosopher Joel needs to be free! Three squares a day may provide his body with sustenance, but Joel needs to be back in his natural element… free… free to explore his world… free to concoct his adventures through life… free to indulge in his pipe and jug… free to be back on his journey in life.
