GATURRO: Yep. A,E,I,O,U. And then G. says, “The vocal cords.” Is AIUOE a word in Spanish? The Google translator says, “LOVE,” but the Spanish Translator doesn’t have a translation. I don’t quite get this one either, david. ???
JUDGE PARKER: Abbey and Sam start to argue, and Neddy says (to Hank), “Let’s go outside.”
PHANTOM: I assume the Jungle Patrol is on the way. So Ms. Ogutu will be involved with the JP…but what will be the tie-in with Orson Burley and the postage stamp, as per Lee Falk’s introduction to this story? i.e., “Three paths are going to intersect on account of a postage stamp..”.
I’m looking forward to Sunday comics! Some of our stories have a little suspense for Monday and others need to move the plots along, so I hope Sunday do so and aren’t summaries.
Gaturro – I didn’t find a translation of AIUOE, but wondered why they aren’t in the usual order, and the Spanish pronunciation would not be the same either. I think it’s just a play on the word “Chord” (vocal or actual strings, like telephone lines).Judge Parker – Sophie is traumatized, having backflashes (PTSD) and they aren’t getting her treatment. Sam is obsessed with finding the perpetrators, never mind about the lost boys, and Abbey seems to think they should just forget about it. That won’t help Sophie.Mary Worth – What truism will Mary come up with for this letter-writer?Phantom – The Jungle Patrol opposes the postage stamp, now Ms. Ogutu will also realize that the Phantom is not a myth and will oppose it to. She and Orson Burley are both people of power and wealth; who will win out?Crankshaft – An honest banker.
JANCINLV 10 MINUTES AGOGaturro In Spanish the vowels are pronounced “ah”, “aaa” (as in hay), “eee” (as in tree), “oh”, “ooo” (as in moo). I think Marvee is right. The vocal cords are the wires on which Gaturro is sitting to sing and the order they are in is incidental.
Judge Parker It bothers me a lot that the characters seem to be ignoring the fact that there are still two missing boys.
Classic Judge Parker It is still a kick to see the awful 70’s fashions. Plaid pants with flowered shirts and tweed jackets on the guys and muu muu’s with fitted tops on the gals.
Hi and Lois I do not understand why the Flagstons put up with Thirsty. He’s an unregenerate slob and they all know it.

Gaturro – “The vocal cords.” (???)
Mandrake – None of the above. It’s Mandrake.
Judge Parker – I really don’t understand Sophie’s attitude here.

Marvee, if you want a paragraph break between comments, put < p > without the spaces at the end of the line.
