Nothing more boring than a song with only one note*, nothing more boring than a book with only one page, than a garden with only one flower, than night with only one star, and than a life with only one love. (*Wasn’t there a classical piece by Mozart or someone who came up with just that?)
Gaturro – At first I thought Gaturro meant his life would be boring with only one love, but I not think he means Elizabeth only loves her money.
Mark Trail – The woman might actually save the day. It’s not like she could be far away and she still has a gun. She might prefer to help the sheriff than see Baldy get away with all the money.
Mary Worth – Iris is right, but I hope we don’t spend the rest of the week repeating the same thing. It would be easy to hope she meets someone new in the park, but that’s not always the answer either.
Mandrake – Another criminal out of jail too soon (reference Doris in Rex Morgan). A comment at CK said Narda’s forgotten how easily “the clay camel” escaped from prison before.
Judge Parker – Neddie’s best advice will probably come from Marie. Or maybe she should see Sophie’s counselor.
For Better or Worse – A different kind of strip today. And a commenter tells us that on October 25, 1988, all cartoonists focused on the problem of homelessness. Nearly 30 years later, we haven’t solved that yet.
Mary Worth Iris’ thought made me meditate on living in an RV. Almost all of the campgrounds in the organization we belong to are away from civilization and in the middle of bountiful nature. God made such a pretty world.
A lot of good comments today! I am coming by late with a question for a bi-lingual sign I need to make….does “Pinturas – tenga cuidado con las pinturas” say “Paintings – please be careful of paintings.” ? Any help much appreciated.
