GATURRO: The best Spanish translation I could find is that “Anacleta” is a name and the Spanish meaning of the name Anacleta is “The One invoked; authority.” I notice the girl’s home is labeled “Ana” and the pet’s hours is label “Cleta.” Sometimes, when reading this strip, the most relaxing thing to do is to just focus on the art work…the drawings!

MARY WORTH: Oh my! Is there any hope for this relationship!?

THE PHANTOM: P. muses as he heads back home with Hero. Those mountaintop buildings are still in the background (Gravelines Prison?). See my comment yesterday.

REX MORGAN: I think this claim to a prior “copyright,” is a scheme and a con on the part of Rene. I don’t think Rene is being truthful. Time will tell. A fake copyright scheme against a kid (i.e. young Sarah), would be the lowest of the low…or something like that.

P.S. to PHANTOM: I think the buildings in the distance are indeed the Gravelines prison. I think this perspective shows that P. is putting Gravelines in the rear-view mirror, so to speak (putting it behind him). Perhaps I am overthinking this, but “overthinking” the comics can be fun sometimes. lol
