GATURRO: As Templo comments, G. is speaking phonetically in English…mai neim is gaturro. Ai am e cat. But I haven’t figured out the reference to Shakespeare in the last panel (can someone offer some assistance re the last panel?).
MARY WORTH: Mary, Dawn & Estelle are overjoyed at Wilbur’s return to the condo in Santa Rosa. I am not. Wilbur has returned home from Tiki Bar Island, without our ever getting to see the scenario where he must have showed up at the tiki bar in his disheveled “man overboard” state. Also, there is a credibility gap as the finding of a “man overboard” would have been immediately reported to Wilbur’s cruise ship and the cruise ship’s personnel would have immediately notified Estelle. This was a great story arc…with a disappointing denouement, imho. However, I do agree with the Comics Curmudgeon (joshreads.com), that it is good news for this strip that Wilbur survived his jump/fall off the cruise ship.
JUDGE PARKER: Neddy’s TV show about April airs and the Judge pitches a fit! (take a look – it’s a fit worth seeing!)
THE PHANTOM: Who does Kit Jr. see? By the look on his face, I’m going to guess (predict) that it’s a member of his immediate family (his dad, his mom or his twin).
