It’s not funny in the least. “He’s like some TV outreach program” – what’s that even supposed to mean? Lobel was a Boston legend. He had kind of a loose & goofy style at times, but to have it labelled drunkenness – and to let it go without comment – could have been a career-killer.
I had to look this guy up, he’s not on youtube, Apparently they settled out of court, but he also sued at least one newspaper and they stopped running getfuzzy.I dunno, yeah, people get insulted in comics all the time, can’t sue them all, but also shouldn’t smear good names without proof.
Also interesting, if you look up “rob lowel drunk” on youtube, you get rob lowe in recovery!
