@LIVERLIPS MCCRACKEN All I remember from the Philippines was that the San Miguel was a whole lot better than the American beers that they shipped there with supposedly formaldehyde in it.
We were supposed to spend two days at Subic back around 1971, but our pilot (7 man crew) ran into a “green bottle” of San Magoo and we were there almost a week…… Got really broke by the time we left. Thankfully one of our officers had his credit card with him ;-).
Who drinks any Belgian style ales from the bottle? And which style did he brew? He perhaps did not expect the scent of sweaty horse blankets (not always a defect).

I have tasted a beer that went bad. I have not been able to drink a San Miguel since, and that was over thirty years ago.

I’m guessing he didn’t sanitize that bucket after the Buckmeister slept in it. So that beer probably tasted like bandaids…

Dude it’s got to sit for a couple of weeks before you bottle it!
