In this particular case…the word is ‘catastrophe’ as in the French word for ‘catastrophic’…….nothing suits Bucky more than that…..

Yes, I remember them being sold with the red tip here in Belleville, Ontario when I was a kid, back in the 80’s. Nowadays, as you say, they’ve been renamed to candy sticks and the red tip removed, which is how I’ve seen them whenever my daughter gets some, usually on Halloween. The line I quoted in my above text was the section specifically referring to Canada in the wiki link I provided. The law comes from the Canada Tobacco Control Act 1997, Part IV, Section 27.
