You can leave a cat out in the rain but he won’t like it.
Plip! So ends the revolution. Bucky the Fair-Weather Firebrand!
Just like my Houdini, fair weather rebel…
Not with a bang but a plip.
The most effective way to suppress revolution: allow juuuuuuuuust enough comfort to make homelessness more uncomfortable.
At the very moment I saw the panel where the raindrop hits, I heard sudden rain on my roof …
a few seconds later, as Satchel started closing the window, it was raining hard…
and in the couple of minutes I’ve been typing, it’s become a downpour….
and I feel a chilly draft seeping in.
Wow! Great special effects… especially for a comic strip!
I wonder how Darby does it.
Bucky & Rat (PBS) would be perfect rebel conspirtacy Duo: all plotting & preparation, 0 actual action!
Change of heart, Bucky?
Italian tuna? That is a good one!
Pinkish the Oppressor….That’s a hoot!
Cats always make their own rules.
Reading today’s strip, all I could think of at the end was “Shut the d*mn window Satchel!!!!”
Are you sure that wasn’t a pigeon, Buckster?
They live in a Brave New World.
I thought they lived in an apartment building.
‘Let them eat cake," as someone once said. Ultimately, you don’t mess with the masses.
Panel 6 is startling, if you’ve ever patched a bullet hole in a roof.
This is how autocratic governments like China’s succeed; pacify the populace with physical comfort.
Fight the power, Bucky!
If you look at panels 2 and 6 together it almost looks like Satchel with Bucky’s body…… I need a life.
Are you sure that wasn’t birdy doodoo? Remember Bucky’s history with them. If they get a shot at him, they will take it.
Cat’s in the cradle with a silver spoon.
Ah. A synopsis of the history of countless revolutions.
Anyone else notice that panel 2 and 6, together, make a kind of “Satchel’s head on Bucky’s body” ? Unintentional I assume?
Bucky’s just like so many pseudo-revolutionaries and wannabe rebels…they wimp out the second things get even slightly uncomfortable. Revolution – fun in theory, not so much fun in practice. It’s easy to talk a good game until things get real.
That was funny!!
Slam that window on down, Satch!
Somebody’s gonna rain on Bucky’s parade!
