    My father once fell backward off a ladder while painting a ceiling in the house. My mother came running out of a bath when she heard the crash. They relate that she stood over Dad bare naked and dripping as she asked, “Are you alright”? My father looked up at her for awhile before replying, “I’m doing better now…”
