This is hilarious! I watch all the ghost programs on tv and I’ve always wondered the same thing.
I gotta concede the language point. A couple of years ago I was in a city high atop the Andes, two hours’ drive from anywhere (Cuenca, Ecuador), and every single person I met, apart from one elderly beggar, spoke English.
Some I have seen the language ‘“spoken”’ wasn’t English.
