Today’s strip brought back a memory of a childhood favorite story called “The Littlest Angel”. The little boy angel wants to give the Baby Jesus a gift and takes his finest “treasures” to the manger. But when he sees Kings bringing things like gold and frankincense and myrrh, he is suddenly ashamed of his earthly gift of things like a feather, a pretty rock (can’t remember the details here). And he runs to hide. But God says that the littlest angel’s gift is special and honored among all the other gifts because, after all, Jesus will grow into a little boy and will find these treasures just as special as The Littlest Angel does. I loved that story….Thank you Gil for reminding me.
