Miles and Chip look a lot like Joe and Frank Hardy. Let’s hope Brody can kick with someone holding the ball instead of off a tee. Otherwise, it might turn out like the time Leo Durocher wanted Jethro Bodine for the Dodgers, only to find out Jethro had no control unless he first smeared the ball with possum fat.
Brody will be knocking through a field goal to win the state championship in no time. Or he’ll miss it and prove that the Nate Kaeding comparison is accurate.
Ahh, Milford. What a wonderful wacky place where kids go out on a Sunday morning and boot 40 yard field goals just for the fun of it. Doesn’t anyone go to church anymore?
@Lureman — didn’t Granny try to cook some golf eggs? @TArbiter — that was a good episode, too. I remember Herman knocking the catcher over with his pitches, but I don’t recall what kept the Dodgers from signing him. I think at the end of the episode he kicks a football about 200 yards and it hits some Rams coach or player on the head.

Hrm. Now all he needs to do is sing while he’s kicking, huh?

If Brody is an 8th grader, I don’t recall someone who is a middle schooler being involved with the Milford varsity. Not even the great Brett Raptor.

Ellie May had the better arm as it turned out. Brodie’s throwing a frisbee in P2 and kicking for joy that it went through the uprights.

In Milford the churches are closed on weekends.

If Brody can kick it 40 yds from the angle he’s setting it up on the tee, kicking with a holder will be a cinch.

Does this mean Bobby Maris isn’t going to be the next Lou “The Toe”Groza? And is Brody’s last name Gogolak?

Chip really needs to trim that ear hair in P1.
