What’s wrong with Milford’s school spirit? The football team needs help, and not one soccer player will give it a shot? That’s disgraceful. Gil must feel like he’s been stabbed in the back. Hold it, I see from panel 3 that he has.

Cody must have left Chip hanging on that high 5, and he doesn’t even look at Miles when he’s talking to him – kickers are so arrogant!

That nose of his is going to block his view of the holder.

Next Gil looks for a high kicking cheer leader.

@ desertdwlr in the 70’s there was a show on Saturdays where men of various sports would face off against each other in challenges of different kinds, strength endurance etc and the soccer player always finished at or near the top. Anyone remember the name of the show?

Since Brody gets his kicks at the MJHS, I figured he went to school there. Time for Wildcat to employ the full court press. Make it rain Wildcat!

All of Milford’s soccer players know Gil should have let Wildcat’s Bobby open a big hole and run it on 3rd and 2 instead of throwing. They have no confidence in Gil as a coach.

The soccer players are boycotting the football team becasue they get no representation in this strip. Even Marty Moon has no idea MILFord has asoccer team. For a sport that gets no action, that’s a pretty big office for the head coach.

Any why on earth is the coach sitting around with a whistle around his neck?

Mudlarks’ last soccer victory was in, like, 1991.

At most schools, soccer and football are on different seasons. A lot of people hate soccer, because they say they steal the football players. Gil is trying to reverse that trend.

If it’s like it was in my day, soccer games were during the week and football was Friday night. So you took your girlfriend to the football game. Hmmm. Hot date vs. playing for 20 seconds. Soccer players are not stupid.
