I think Wildcat is talking about Kaz.

Kaz has Gils back and then some. Anybody had somebody as loyal and trustworthy as Kaz would be lucky. Half wit..no their helping a life…….oh Monday is gonna be sweet. Stay tune!

So many bugs crawling on Gil’s old sports coat. Ick.

Or maybe he’s talking about Deke, having first laid the groundwork for Deke to get on the staff.

I wish Gil had said, “Your son is NOT a half-wit, Wildcat. His grades are almost as good as Brody Abro’s.”

Go ahead Gil, smack! him into a Pussycat!

Uh-oh, you know this is going to get serious when Gil pulls the old wool booster jacket out of the closet and gets that determined look on his face. Prepare for the smackdown, gilfans.

Gil’s going to stuff Wildcat’s novelty “half-glass” there on the table where the sun don’t shine.

“You gonna do something foolish?” I don’t think Wilt, Magnum or even Higgins will back up Wildcat as Gilnation prepares to lay the smackdown.

Thank God, my life isn’t at the point where I have nothing better to do but sit around and complain about high school sports. Instead I’m at the point where I have nothing better to do than to comment on a comic strip about high school sports.

That pipe wrench Gil has clutched behind his back in panel 3 is going to do a number upside Wildcat’s head. Or maybe he’ll twist Wildcat’s nose with it, like Moe used to do to Larry and Curly.

….Gil going to the same barber as Hank Hill? Looks like in P1 he spent some time in Arlen TX….

Do high school coaches not have any responsibilities during the school day? It is that easy for the two of them to leave?

If we follow the strip sequence this is probably at the end of practice (late afternoon). The real question is do Wildcat and his pals have real jobs or is this what they do all day-sit around and complain about the local high school football program?
