Assuming that white circle is supposed to be the ball, the future lawyer at 2nd appears to have flipped it off casually in the direction of the pitcher.
The ball looks so small because, due to Gil’s impressive coaching, Bobby is now throwing B-B’s to the Leesville hitters. First Milford no-hitter in 75 years.
Yeah, Gil is back. Actually coaching! I’d love to see a story line where Gil actually coaches all season and the story focuses on the games, not some madcap weird adventure. A big run through the playdowns is in order, too. Yeah, MHS can’t win the state title every year, but it’s been too long since we’ve seen the Larks heading for the final four in Central City and staying over at Motel 7. I want me some playdowns!!
Not only is Gil not wearing a cap, but he isn’t wearing a uniform, which is against HS baseball rules in most states. He looks like he could be coaching in some summer traveling daddyball league.

Gil’s wisdom has grown ever since he started slumping like Yoda (P1)

Gil’s back! And his coaching is better than ever. I’m starting to feel like a run to state is in the cards for later this season.

Gil must be only baseball coach in America who doesn’t wear a cap.

No peacocks. No lawyers. From “One out…” to “…double play”, today is just baseball. A little ray of sunshine for us Thorp fans.
