In all reality, the look in Gil s eyes tells it all. He also has a bad cut on his face maybe an electric razor might help.

The masked wrestler could be Mr. X, Dr. X, the Masked Assassin, the Masked Destroyer, etc. One thing is four sure, he was introduced as “Hailing from parts unknown; weight unknown.”

The authors being from Detroit, is it a takeoff on Dick the Bruiser?

Dick the Bruiser was also very big in St. Louis, along with Pat O’Connor (from Wellington, New Zealand), Black Jack Lanza (and his manager, Pretty Boy Bobby Heenan), Gene Kiniski, Rufus R. Jones (master of the Atomic Head Butt), the Funk brothers (including Dory Funk Jr.) and Baron Von Roschke with the Iron Claw.

So now I suppose Pop has early dementia (thus the subwich order reminder) and actually believes that he’s Sheriff Johnny Blaze?

Where I lived it was Larry The Axe Henning. He also ran a real estate office the next town over.

I miss Curt " Mr. Perfect" Henning. His son is currently wrestling under the name Curtis Axel as tribute to Dad and Grandpa.

Anyone remember Farmer Alfalfa, Around 6’6’ or taller and almost that wide it seemed. 5 or 6 hundred pounds with a horseshoe hanging below his neck.

In all reality, Mimi wrestled the GLOW circuit using the name Precious Hart, Jimmie Hart s little sister.

We didn’t have the Gagnes, or if we did it was after I stopped following it.
