Hi wrestling fans. Marty O’Neill here. This little pow-wow down at the station was all about setting up a BLOCKBUSTER promoted by Mr. Wally Karbo. A headliner rematch of Hairy vs. Gil. What a FABULOUS main event IT WILL BE. In the preliminary feature it’s Chief vs Herk the Mauler. Also on the undercard the “very capable” Kenny Jay, the “Sodbuster”, against a yet to be named opponent. For charity, of course. All certified paramedics have comped front row seats. SEE YOU SATURDAY NITE AT THE MILFORD METROPLEX!!

To Lawrence S., I envy the Gil Thorp knowledge you showed last week. In real time, how far back do Gil and Hairy go? To the Berrill years?

Now all we need are Jarvis White and the Nelps showing up as luchadores, and we’re all set.

To chiphilton, the Hairy Hercules story arc was very, very early Berrill. Most of the Berrill strips have been published in trade paperback (although I suspect they are mostly out-of-print). They were not published chronologically, however, which can distort the recall of time relationships.

Looks like Gil needs to start wearing the “Depend® Real Fit® Briefs for Men” Those ones he has on looks like he dropped a load.

The MPD does like their coffee. Maybe Gil can drop off some Milford State Championship mugs the next time one of his teams wins state.

Maybe the fact that Gil wrestled in college explained why he struggles during the hoops seasons. Not sure it’s possible to wrestle while playing basketball in college since the seasons are at the same time.

Yes, it is odd that Gil wrestled in college, yet coaches every sport BUT wrestling.

Not odd at all, Max – Gil does all his wrestling at home, on the Women’s Circuit. Mimi is a GLOW girl.
