Aw, man, if I had the Mop ….P1: Gil – “Err … no, honey, I wasn’t supposed to meet her at the Notell Motel, no sirree!”P2: Mimi – “Why did she say I ought to have a blood test?”Gil – “Err … umm … because it’s flu season!”P3: Gil – “You know, Ho — err, Mimi, you’re my best girl, right?”
P1, Mimi:Dora called while you were out. Gil: Christ, I just left her hotel, er, she sajd goodbye last night. Oh damn, that doesn’t sound good either. Mimi: She called for me actually. Told me all about what happened last night. You’ve got some ‘splainin’ to do Former State Champ Coach. It’s gonna be a long cold lonely winter for you, Buster. Gil in P3: Awww, c’mon Mimi, give me a big wet sloppy kiss and lets makeup. I’m tired of sleeping on the couch.
In all reality , P 1 Gil’s package says it all asking " Why she said goodbye last night ? " as Gill panics . P 3 MimI " Shut up and kiss me you fool, tonight is a night of passion , Oh yeah Mop called too the gym floor is ready for basketball to start."
I’m awestruck that GilPa goes from looking as young as a college boy yesterday with Holly to a middle age man with cyborg looking Mimi. Like Mimi sapped the spirit of youth from The State Champ Coach.
Milford must pay its coaches pretty well for the Thorps to be able to afford to heat their house to the point where Mimi is comfortable in a sleeveless shirt in jacket weather.
“In all reality”……… all I can recall is they lost two games, right? At least one of the teams that won State Titles in NC had two losses on the year. Several with four ran pretty deep in the playoffs (downs) before being eliminated. Right now with five losses how many NFL teams want to play Seattle? So why was it such a given that with two losses Milford’s season had to be over?
In P1 and 2, Gil has walked in on Kaz, who is rehearsing his Taylor Swift impersonation for the big drag queen competition. In P3, they discuss why Kaz dropped out of the contest.
Probably safe to say this is the end of this story. Nice to see the Marty long-lost love story end with a thud. Heck, it didn’t even go anywhere after the beginning of this season. And the Darwin twins story was ended satisfactorily too….not. And speaking of satisfying, at least today’s Mopped Up Thorp is satisfying.
Good job. Two nice pick ups today. First place goes to Mr. Reality for the coach’s crotch claiming to have said goodbye last night; second prize goes to chiphilton who can spot an upside down blank page. Young Jedi have honed their skills. May the Farce be with you.
Well, that just about wraps it up. Next: Amber Alert in Milford. The search is on for the Thorp kids, last seen in a 1961 Ford Falcon, License plate # K349J2

I guess Marty’s role of love interest is left with no explanation, just like booze…I mean, Boo’s.

Saturday afternoon. No kids at home. What do Gil and Mimi do during that short one day break between seasons?

Reading my own comment I answered my own question. “reality”…… it doesn’t come into play here.

Two losses and no post-season? What is this, the BCS?“I pulled the plug on the show. Fortunately, there were no contractural obligations whatsoever…”
