Isn’t this a night game? It’s supposed to be happening while Del is having dinner.

What are those weird motion lines in P1? Does Boo have satellites orbiting around her head?

Boo gets her happy ending. Alas, Biff is still waiting for his.

Boo appears to be on acid in P1, like Dock Ellis in 1970. Hope she didn’t walk 10.

Boo really is a good athlete, she kicked that ball to the fielder in P2 from P3.

We all laughed at the basketball uniforms but it turns out, Mimi is a genius. Apparently, the other team was laughing so hard, they couldn’t hit. It didn’t work out so well for the White Sox in ’76 when they tried wearing shorts. People just laughed and the Sox continued to lose.

Are earrings allowed in softball? They certainly aren’t in basketball and volleyball.

Congrats Boo, now back to the summer plotline involving a lush, humping industrial lubricants in hopes of closing a jumbo order while belittiling a cow judge and ignoring his sons acne! All of the sudden rasslin’ looks pretty good!

Gotta love the Dirty Dancing graphic in p. 3, especially given that she lifted Boo up while still wearing a catchers mitt!

In all reality , will the elation captured in P 3 by the high beams of Del the Drunk’s car be short lived as he drives over Boo and her catcher ?

The tie-in between the two stories is that Boo uses the lubricant’s Del sells to doctor the ball. Once he goes to jail, her pitching is going to go south in a hurry.

So the catcher had time to whip off her mask, but left her big glove on? That probably doesn’t feel too good to Boo. And thus ends the most undramatic no-hitter ever. And speaking of drama, there really isn’t any in today’s Mopped Up Thorp either. Well maybe tomorrow or next week when Del finally gets back behind the wheel. Stay inside Mr Reality!

P1- Boo does her best Linda Blair imitation. ELO brought their spaceship as Jeff Lynne belts out “Don’t Bring Me Down.”

Usually when Milford plays a night game, the sky is dark and features dozens of stars. Snowflakes, too, for most of the year.

Next year in college, Boo will grow her hair long, join a sorority, and laugh at small town girls. Her friends will turn on her and Gene Pitney will sing “A Town Without Pity” as Milford moves into the 60’s. I can’t wait for Gill to have to deal with Vietnam protesters while trying to replace Tru at quarterback.
