… and given how frigging obvious and cliched this is, of course they’ll go with the Secondary Cliche, and this is going to turn out to be his gal pal Molly Whittemore from Central City.
In all reality, on the street Molly is slang for ectasy. I think the writers are throwing us a curve with their secretive A Quad conversation dropping references to Molly all over the place.
Who can forget Ty Webb asking Danny Noonan if he did drugs and Danny replied yeah with Ty retorting with, then what’s your problem? Aagard coordinating his weekend score with BKB and get it, got it, good Granger expanding their minds with a spliff. After all, Mudlarks do not fly.
Drunks, placeberol, molly, weed, yep sounds like all they need is a little crack and some heroin and they’ll have all the essential food groups of any good “high” school.
It’s a musical strip today: P-1: the opening song from Bye Bye Birdie with all the kids on the phone. P-2: an oldie, Two Silhouettes on the Shade and P-3: Smokin in the Boy’s Room
Good golly, I seem to get the impression that “Molly” is the key word here leading to, as I said yesterday, the Three’s Company style misunderstanding that Molly is only some girl. Maybe it’s the fact that he loudly said “Molly” 5 times in a stretch of 2 sentences while others were eavesdropping. And speaking of stretches, it’s quite a stretch to think of today’s Mopped Up Thorp as any kind of literary accomplishment.
A high-school athlete indulging in intoxicants? The behavior of today’s youth is shocking. Back in my day, we never played sports under the influence of MDMA. Sure, we took reds and whites, and smoked pot, and drank a little, and some guys did coke, or even mushrooms, but never MDMA.

Why is it “shocking” that he’s going out with a girl…twice? …or it could be a guy whose last name is Molly.

Considering the toke both BKB and Granger have hit in P3, they must have a tough time keeping their glass houses clean.

Look like it’s time for Marty Moon to go on the air and do a PSA for Substance Abuse. Apparently, Marty is in favor of it.
