Maybe he would get the call if he weren’t wearing a catcher’s mitt.

Bean Ball coming up. So, we have yet to learn RVA’s flaw. Not drugs, just did that one. What is the personality disorder of the day? You know, the one dealing with teen issues today.

As the Tighman batter takes his base, Marty cues is cassette player, playing a local favorite with the ants as Granger chats with RVA.

Maybe the catcher should have let the ball cross the plate before catching it.

P1, Yo, catcher, you gotta let the ball get to the plate if you want it to be a strike.

P2, The clouds gather around Book ‘em Cano. He’s about to blow.

P3, It looks like Cano is subtley giving the ump the finger. That should get him tossed.

In our high schools, that kind of gesture to the umpire would have earned a quick ejection.

P-1: I seem to remember we were all commenting on the fact that the catcher was lined up in the outside batters box. If he lined up any further outside, he’s be in the farmers grain field. You know, the Catcher’s in the Rye.

P-2: So, he doesn’t get the call. Look kid leave your phone in the locker. Pay attention to the game. Geez, kids today!

P-3: The catcher tries to break the tension by wearing a Florida Gator’s hat out to the mound where he finds it necessary to explain that umps occasionally miss a call to someone whose an experienced pitcher.

P-1 again: maybe the ump didn’t call the pitch a ball. Maybe he objected to the catcher smacking the batter in the nads with his mitt.

I didn’t see Twainreader commented about the hat the catcher is wearing in P3 before dong today’s MUT. I was deciding whether to call it a Gator hat or a Razorback hat. I went with Razorback. And speaking of going, you should be going to Mopped Up Thorp to read the last couple of days of strips.

Oh, and nobody caught my grammar error on the 5/2 strip where I used “whose” instead of “who’s”? You guys are slipping!

Maybe, as a child, he had knee misplacement surgery.
