TGIF – Thank Gil It’s Finished

She’s not going to write it because she is going to try to make it in the NFL or she’s not going to write it for the same reason most of us never write memoirs?

Well … as against that, I’d much rather see these summer plot arcs revisit old characters than be about Gil Going From Hack To Champ On The Golf Course Yet Again. Who’s up for Jarvis White, Jake Nelp and Danny Randolph having R&R in Milford after becoming gun runners to Kurdish freedom fighters in Syria? Any love for Rabbi David Greene setting up Milford’s first synagogue? Brent Raptor’s motivational weight loss videos?

I want to take this moment to announce I have decided not to pursue a career switch to the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB or MLS.

Since my wife has retired from teaching, I wish to announce she has the time, potential, maybe not the patience, to take on the administrative duties of Dr. Pearl. To paraphrase Everett Ulysses McGill, that would sorta make me the power behind the throne, so to speak.

Start the clock, you have the next eight months to come up with a golf story for next year.

P1, Either Heather has huge meathooks for a girl or Jaquan has some pretty tiny hands for a 6’8" NBA “star.”

P2, The only person in today’s strip who is actually playing football sometime this year is Moose and these nitwits have taken up all of his practise time for what, exactly?

P3, And here I thought Heather was the one getting Jaquan all primed and pumped. I guess some of the thrill went out of it for Jaqaun when she changed into long pants after Wednesday.

Well today’s strip, once again, reads like someone stalling for time. I guess they needed a breather after that hectic, thrill-a-minute action adventure we read through this summer. So finally, tomorrow, it’s on to real football?

We can only hope that Gil spent the summer supervising the remodel of the showers, that is the only plausible explanation for his conspicuous absence. Perhaps he was cleaning Kaz’s grout from the tile personally
