P3, All you have to do now to seal the deal, Kaz is to let him and his buddies paint the lines on the field with tiny brushes. I bet the ants will find it hilarious.
Today’s P3 background music for Milford Masterpiece Theatre, a Quinn Martin Production, Sound of Silence by Simon & Garfunkle. The ants seem entranced.
Typically during football season we get maybe 15 strips devoted to actual games. Yet this super intriguing “Kaz talking to film buff and then recapping his talk with Gil” has been going on for 2 weeks.
And it’s like Gil has already penciled him in as his punter despite never even seeing the kid kick. Or even see him at all.
One of the bonuses of the school’s new technology (adding a new teletype machine) and getting the film guy to punt is that John Facenda has signed on to do narration to the next game.
Every great story consists of three parts, or acts. The first part is called the pledge, the author begins with something ordinary and mundane. (We have been stuck in this first act for over a month). The second act is called the turn, the author takes the ordinary story and makes it into something extraordinary. (For all that is holy – Neal and Rod, make the turn). But, you won’t feel satisfied yet, because making something extraordinary isn’t enough. You have to bring it back to reality and you’re looking for the moral to the story. But you won’t find it because of course, you want to have questions about the story (ie – where are Jami and Kerri – Who was driving the pick-up – what happened to the two kids from the golf tournament – etc.)
“I only play for coaches that know about obscure 1950’s French movies.”Says the kids who will rack up 200k in student loans to qualify for a job as a bartender.
This story has surpassed idiocy a while back, but Kaz saying that he knows about a 1950’s French heist movie is probably the most unbelievable thing yet. Didn’t he say a few weeks ago that he only stays awake for movies with car chases? Now, all of a sudden, he knows about “Rififi”? R&W are losin’ it….

Anyone out there ever have a coach who would stand by for five minutes while you pondered his question in silence?

Does his movie reference mean that if he punts, the snap will always be a silent count?

Gil should remember that movie — he took Mimi to see it on one of their first dates.
