In all reality , how about walking around Milford with an old shopping cart picking used pop and beer cans and selling them at the recycling center . Better yet ,kidnap the Rally Hippo and hold it for ransom .
If you already have the scholarship, maybe take a break from club volleyball? And if you need extra cash, why not take a summer job at Milford CC and get us out of this plot. You could be fending off the drunken advances of Marty Moon!
Milford CC now hiring, summer cart girls! Let’s get out to the Club and develop a story about harassment, ripped from the headlines! Moon, leering as the lass bends over to get him his sippy cup refill, Doc Gattuso and his special “exams” of the caddy in the woods, Jon Jawor and his lesson on grip with the Thursday ladies’ 9 holers…There is the fertile ground R & W!
Didn’t want ‘any more school’ at 18. Worked for my Dad for a year then went to Duke Power at 19. At 26 years old my wife and I both started at the local community college. Finished up there with AS degrees then went on to a satellite program Gardner-Webb had and finished up there with BS degrees. All at night while working full time. She did in four years but it took me five because for the first year I went part time. (I was still playing softball and rec basketball that first year.) Duke paid for it. All that to say this….. you don’t always have to go straight off to college at 18 with no idea of what you want to be when you grow up!
As a follow up to my comment. I also had thought for the first half of my senior year I would be making that same trip Ellis took. Luckily that mess ended up before we got out that year. That kind of led to my “laissez-faire” attitude around that time.

P1, Certainly not your shining intellect.
P2, Or you could stuff this magazine where the sun don’t shine.

She’s right. If Volleyball is going to pay for college, she’s just going to have to suck it up.

P1- Have you considered a rowing/crew financial aid package?
P3- Notice the hippo and Brent Raptor are never in the same place at the same time.

That hippo would have the same smile on its face if the final score was 6-1 Valley Tech.

I had a relative who was a railroad engineer I believe with Norfolk Southern. Uncle Lefty lived in Roanoke.
