P2 It is the net’s fault, they installed it improperly, it should no got over the rim. How can these guys do such a nice Christmas panel and then get so sloppy the rest of the year??? They need to up their artistic game!!!
In all reality , That’s the shot we wanted Coach ? Damn right it was Chris ,I bet $500 that we wouldn’t win this game . Gee thanks Coach, in all reality I feel much better already !
The #40/#45 mystery can be solved, even by Tiki Jansen’s slow sister. In Saturday’s panels #1 is Hiawatha James, #40 Leonard Fleming and #45 is Marcell Irby.
P3- Fist Pump Triplets share no joy after the loss to the cocked and loaded Springfield Riflemen.
Here kid, Coach Archimedes will teach you all about shooting geometry by the end of the season. Either that or Kaz will explain why there’s a box on the backboard.
So they made three passes so that Schuring could get off a runner or some other difficult shot? With all that trouble it should have been easier, like something at the rim or at least a catch and shoot.
P1 – The defender is not worried. He’s barely even interested in the game, let alone contesting the shot. And what the hell kind of shooting form is that? It’s not wonder it results in a…
P2 – …brick! And as someone else noted, what is with the net? You can’t run one of the loops over the top of the rim! Milford has a legitimate protest over this loss. If Gil even gives a damn.
P3 – In the color version, at least one of the shadowy players is a Springfield guy. I guess they take wins in stride. Had Milford won there’d be multiple players arm pumping for at least 5 minutes.
And speaking of 5 minutes, can you spare 5 minutes to read today’s issue of Mopped Up Thorp? I assume you need 5 minutes to study all the nuances of this work of art.
Yes! My prediction was correct, a brick! Although I did give like 4 different outcomes, so maybe it’s not that impressive after all.
I just realized the genius of Gil’s style. Chris is “aggressive” on the last play, which results in a crappy shot that loses the game. However, it’s not Gil’s fault. He mentioned to Fleming that Chris could be more aggressive. Fleming told Chris to be more aggressive. Thus, the blame falls on Fleming!

P3: uh oh…with that Fatherly kernel of wisdom and tender yet manly shoulder caress, I think Gil forgot these weren’t the home showers

P1, Chris Schuring tries to shoot while simultaneously shaking the ants off of his shooting arm.
P2, And "BONKS it off the rim.
P3, That’s the shot we wanted and next time we’ll give it to somebody who can actually play this game.

Looks like my prediction regarding the end of the game was incorrect. Thank goodness.

Looks like a Grinch basketball. It grew three sizes between panel 1 and 2.

No, it won’t. The curse of Thorp will prevent it as usual.

Panel two with the net is just too obviously messed up. Methinks we may be getting a little action back at us.
