Has she even mentioned to Dale that she will be coaching the football team that she will be reporting on? Didn’t they teach anything at all about “ethics” in those journalism classes at Iowa? That’s bad enough, but I have to wonder whether she will in fact wind up coaching basketball and softball or baseball as well. The Thorps will never miss an opportunity to get someone else to do their jobs for them, at a strictly nominal wage.

In all reality , Marty hears the news from Shakey the bartender at the Dew Drop In while having his morning eye openers . So Marjie quit , I’ll drink to that . Hey Shakey ,hit me again twice.

Heather is on pace to have a V8 moment pronto when she has to reveal to the new boss her side hustle as an unpaid Thorp lackey.

It’s a conspiracy to destroy Heather’s future as a good journalist. Heather will spend so much time with Marjie that she will be fired. Marjie will then get her old job back thereby eliminating the competition. Heather will coach at Milford and will become a well known coach. She will make more money than working for the newspaper. Could it happen? Only the artist knows and isn’t talking.

How long until Marty Moon starts hitting on Heather?BTW, the second game of the HS football season is tonight. When will Gil mosey over to coach the team?

So this must be the end of the summer drama. I’ll say the start of the football story begins in P3 tomorrow with a “Meanwhile…”, or on Monday with a change of scenery to the new transfer kid.
