In all reality , since Mimi left Gil he has gotten heavily into role playing with loose women. Friday’ s Gil plays The Dean of Discipline giving punishments to naughty students and Saturdays he’s a Pirate.
Are we back in the days of Gil’s pilot’s license? Gil offers a ride to someone at the airport headed home and is turned down with a, “… last time I few with you we got lost…”
Maybe Ms. Holmes is correcting Gil, telling him that she is to be addressed as Captain Holmes? Has she met the General from last year’s girls’ basketball team? And Emmett likely washed out of the military, if P4 shows his best attempt to salute.
Oh, for shame. Thou faithless Thorpites. You jump to conclusions like you’re in a rebounding drill. Time for another episode of Sherlock Holmes (No relation) the Musical.
P-1: Cliff Richards – We Don’t Talk Anymore.
P-2: (For those with strong stomachs) David Soul-Don’t Give Up on Us.
P-3: Perry Como – Fly Me To The Moon
Yes, we seem to have entered the dreaded realm of Soap Operas.
So wherever they are, far away from Milford and wherever Emmett lives, it necessitates a plane flight for Gil. Emmett either flew there himself or drove I’d assume. Obviously he has plans on how to get home, but Gil is like, “Hey, want me to fly you somewhere? Just leave your car here, or throw away the tickets you purchased.” But Emmett doesn’t have time for that, it’s obviously his league bowling night based on his shirt. And speaking of bowling, it’s possible that today’s Mopped Up Thorp will bowl you away. Not likely, but you never know.

So Gil has his flying license now?!? And he apparently has a stewardess? Who he forces to address him as Captain?

Milford has a public airport? With at least 3 gates? Who’s Holmes the blond? A flight attendant? No officer’s stripes on her jacket.

With the Gil-magnet fully charged and working at maximum strength, it’s no wonder Mimi is keeping her distance

Gil is flying off to have lunch with his long-time buddy Sky King, who I always thought was one of the original weed hustlers in the west.

A plane and a stewardess. Just shows what can happen if you contribute to your 403(b) for 60 years.

In the early Gil Thorpe strips, Gil was an amateur pilot who owned a plane.

I like how Emmet mimes that Gil should do the pizza boy routine with Captain Holmes.
