took a trip to the land of oz a few years ago, brought back some vegemite that my son begged me for. he took one bite…. his expression was priceless! glad i got a photo of it. nothing personal, you ozzies are nice folk, but how in god’s name can you gag down vegemite? that stuff is awful!

Think peanut butter with cabbage instead of peanuts.

@dry… you bet. it was too funny to laugh at, and besides, he’s a good kid and we get along great. i can’t even recall the last time i raised my voice to him or him to me. makes fatherhood worthwhile.

vegemite is a lot like what ottod said, only salty and difficult to swallow… literally. as an oz friend says, you have to have grown up with it, then you’d understand. i didn’t grow up with it. i don’t understand… life is good, eh?

Almost like when Calvin tried making breakfast in bed for ill mother. The scrambled eggs were burned and stuck to the skillet; the eating utensil was a chisel. As for the toast and O.J. he also mentioned when about to get the eggs, better be left unsaid.
