    Mr. Chatfield:

Name one good school in Australia and one bad one please and why you say so. Just don’t make it too long. And don’t name your alma mater. Thank you.

The Sydney Morning Herald recently published the results of the best and worst performing public schools across Australia (contravening specific laws that forbid them to do so) - The results were based on nation-wide standardized testing in every school. Was quite a bit deal over hear recently.

US News and World Reports publishes the best colleges in the country every year around high school graduation time. It’s broken up into regions, course of study and so on.

If they rated high schools, I think our school district would be woefully near the bottom of any list.

    Hi Jason!

It’s hard to believe that our country is so backwards in some ways. Cutting school budgets right and left. Our future does not seem very bright.

School budgets need to be cut. School taxes are climbing to levels that are unpayable! Start by getting rid of ” middle management positions”. The school employees are “top-heavy” with unnecessary overpaid drones. Sister Mary “Beat-me-to-death” ran a classroom with 60 kids, and EVERYONE learned. Today’s teachers scream if they have 25 kids. The children do NOT learn, but get passed on, up the years, until they graduate barely literate. It’s not money that they need, it is there- - but it’s squandered by bloated middle management. There are too many assistant principals, supervisors, secretaries, special subject teachers, coaches, etc. If the money that is spent on them, was available, the school WOULD have money.
