Apparently I had a few too many pupil-free days as a student. I had to look up pupil, because I was wondering why he would be excited about not having part of his eye.

Hi Jason. Faithful mutts like Mike may not understand English, although they are capable of understanding up to 50 commands, but they are experts at judging tone inflection and body language. Those three are going to have a great day tomorrow.

Jason pardon my ignorance, but what is a pupil free day?

Hi Jason and Joe! I’m late today!*

Chikuku, thank you for the explanation. Sounds like “teacher’s in service” day here in Illinois.

Here in the American Pacific Northwest, those are often “Teacher in service day’s” also. Regardless of the arbitrary name give such a day in any particular area, Chikuku’s explanation works.

As Ginger says… the only thing better than a pupil-free day, is a TEACHER-free day!
