I needed Wiki to clear up today’s graffito. “Battery hen” is a term for a chicken in a mass hen-house, especially for egg production. I’ve learned something new and it’s not even noon yet.
G’day Jason, Dry, Barb, JFri, Ottod and all Meggsie’s mates.
When I was Ginger’s age Mum took me to a bargain basement sale in a our city’s largest store . After witnessing adults fighting for the first time, my advice would be to avoid anything to do with bargain basements.
Sorry about this folks but it has been unsaid for years. Hogarth mentions an electrician named Sparks who was incarcerated in a dry cell after being charged with battery in his own ohm. Seems he was a bit of a live wire but he was positive it was not his volt, just a filament of someone’s current imagination.
Frank Corona: Thanks. I claim it as my own but it’s the first time I’ve been game to say it. The day is still young however.
Referring to a friend’s recent comment about Free Range eggs, a checkout person simply could not understand why I felt there should be no charge for them.
