If you lose your eyesight you must see an eye doctor, can’t be opty mistic with misty optics. Perhaps Ginger could follow Murphy’s adage by emptying what’s full, filling what’s empty and scratching where it itches.
Not quite JFri, although it was put that way to give a twist to it. It was in response to Bennie’s “I see” to Ginger’s ’optometrist’ howler.
Ginger’s mistake was yet another reason to connect him with my youth. Melbourne has a great public transport system of trams that share roads with cars. Unlike so many cities that had them, scrapped them and now regret the loss, it has kept them. Nowadays fares are paid by swiping a card but when I rode on them to school we were given tickets, incidentally by a conductor who was always a character. On the back of the ticket there were ‘Schoolboy Howlers along the lines of ‘It was raining cats and dogs and there were poodles all over the road’ or just as Ginger made the mistake in the current panel.
