Wouldn’t “sports cars” be American? We’d usually use “sport cars” in Australia, unless it is part of the Americanising of our language from all the exposure to USA tv shows.
Australians say Sports Cars and Sport Cars… Either way it’s an American concept to begin with.
No translation necessary here.. They’re cars that are raced for sport. The movie title “Days of Thunder” should really give it away.
