There are no bears in Australia, in spite of the fact that the koala is referred to as a bear – it is actually a distant relation of the South American tree sloth. Neither does the koala hibernate so we can presume the context of the lesson was to do with creatures in the northern hemisphere.Apart from that, Ginger’s naive missing the point is a classic, great stuff.
