When working in a camera store 30+ years ago, I watched a customer write two cheques to pay ofr something (part of theprice from each of two accounts). She looked at her watch for the date as she wrote each cheque. It’s a habit that one just cannot break.
Love the graffiti! My Great Italian Aunt used to say something to the effect, “If we all hung our dirty laundry on the line, we would end up taking ours back”. Or something like that.
I’ve read that most of the time you look at a clock or watch, you really don’t notice the TIME. What you look for is how long you have until your appointment, the TV show you want to watch or whatever. That’s why you have to look again.
