Ha! Apparently Me Glasbergen knows we in Nevada have no state income tax. Oh, we pay federal income tax, but not state. All those things that typically get paid for out of the state income tax revenue are paid for by a hotel room tax. It’s like the tourists pay our state income tax!
Also…no state sales tax on groceries here in Nevada…but 8.2 percent sales tax on non-grocery items such as dog food, toe-nail clippers, etc. I’m so glad I live in Nevada. (Probably the only better place to live would be in Vancouver, Washington, across the river from Portland, Oregon. Washington has no state income tax, Oregon has no state sales tax.)
