There’s always somebody in any organization who uses an unauthorized device that enables devious hackers to enter a computer network. This irritates IT staff no end. In our case, it was our company President. The hacker caused all our printers to use all the paper in their trays, having printed only one character per page.

The I.T. people will NOT be pleased – out-of-hours is when THEY do their updating and purging and such – but this policy won’t last – after the head “goofball” is denied access to his “solitaire” for a couple of hours while his desk computer is undergoing updates and security scans, things will go back to the way they were…

Please note that the very definition of a “secure” computer is one that CANNOT be accessed – at all – by anyone – at any time…

I was in a class in college, or maybe it was a meeting of a club, where we were told about a company that hadn’t figured out how to save anything and they were asked well what if the power goes out?

So that would not be the solution for them.
