It’s more relaxing if you don’t use a hook. Or bait.

a few of us were fishing off the Ormond Beach Pier back in the 70’s…after a couple of hours a couple of other fishermen came up and said ‘you haven’t even had a bite yet…what are you folks using for bait?‘…told them ’bait? we don’t even have hooks on the lines’

I was digging up nightcrawlers, baiting my own hook, scaling and gutting at 9 years old.

To tell the truth, I do miss those days with the kids. Even with the grandkids, now they are mostly grown up and don’t need my help.

Yes. Also happens when you are the only parent at a Cub Scout fishing derby surrounded by kids. My kid was collecting caterpillars.

Granny probably wishes she could do some fishing.

Reminds me of fishing trips with my boys and their cousins.
