Been there, done that.

I use the dish soap in the sink. I don’t have a clue how to use the dishwasher. I am done and use less water doing them by hand.

Always wondered where the inspiration came from.

We ran out of dish soap at the dorm, so the idiot RA used Spic ‘N’ Span. The bubble pile had more volume than a standard school bus.

Doesn’t work well in the clothes washer either…

In a pinch you can use about a tblsp of liquid but add a few tblsp of baking soda as well, keeps the suds down

And that thought should make Gray feel even older than any of the words he uses!

As I saw on an online AutoCorrect website a while back …

A: “Can I put this green apple dish-washing hand soap in the dishwasher?”B. “DON’T. DO. THAT.”B. “You did it, didn’t you?”A. “Bubbles.”

You can safely add just a little bit of dish detergent, say a 1/4 – 1/2 a teaspoon, and it really helps remove grease. You can even buy dishwasher tablets that have normal dish detergent in them already.

Also, most modern dishwashers use less water than washing by hand.
