Can you send subliminal message to get a raise?

This brings up a question…how DID the Mummy, or the Frankenstein creature EVER catch anyone in the old movies, since they were barely mobile? They only lumbered along at their fastest…unlike the Werewolf, and others.
Love this strip, but any reason why it’s always two months out of date? Would be funnier if it correlated with the correct season!
I doubt he’ll get it. I’d have never if not for the last panel.
