It’s easy to ignore the ringing phone. I used to be a phone operator in a big hospital. I enjoy ignoring the phone because I ALWAYS had to answer it at work. I had a switchboard and several other phones in the office that I had to take care of. No….when my phone rings, ignoring it is catharsis.
Our phones do not accept calls that have the caller id blocked or have no ID. We use our caller blocking features if one does get through. If our phone don’t know you, you have to tell us who you are and we will screen that call. No telemarketers or robocalls.
My cell phone has been a god sent as far as the un-wanted calls. If you block a number it will come up as “Suspected Spam” and I can just reject the call. It takes awhile as they use many different way of contact. Recently I’ve gotten them with the caller listed as a legit business.

If they are not in my contacts list and I am not expecting a delivery, I just decline the call.

When no-call list first came out, the companies would sell the lists to , you guessed it, telemarketers.

I’d pay big bux for a machine that would, with the push of a button, slag robocaller equipment on the other end of the line to smoking ash.

Answer call; get to human; BLOW POLICE WHISTLE IN EAR!
I’m on the Do Not Call list, so they’re breaking the law. I don’t feel bad about giving them an earful of pain.
