We had a major snowstorm and I had to shovel a long double driveway alone after work. It took hours, and it was really cold. I got to the end, and along came the plow, which piled up about 2 feet of ice and snow at the end of where I just shoveled. My shoulders drooped, my head dropped, and the shovel fell out of my hand. I had nothing left. I guess the body language got to him – he came back and plowed me out! Once in 30 years at that house!
Ah, memories of living in VT for 20 some years. Loved having to dress in work attire and leave just to find the plow had left a gift of several feet of snow at the end of the driveway. Ditto on returning from work.

That’s why I wait until the plow by before I shovel my driveway.

It’s not just the gifting of a drift of snow, it’s the huge hunks of ice they add to the pile.
